I was really impressed with my recent stay. the comfy bed and the cozy dining room made it feel like a mini getaway. There’s a lovely garden that’s perfect for unwinding and a TV lounge that allows you to kick back after a long day. The only minor hiccup was the heater needed a bit of work, but it didn’t ruin my stay at all. 😊

stayed for a night in this beautiful old hotel. the abingdon suite was spacious and had a quirky breakfast area that was really nice! felt super cozy and the staff were always there to help with a smile. the village surroundings were pretty and locals were friendly!
the only downside was that the room got loud at times with people passing by outside. also, the lack of ac was a bit uncomfortable during the hot nights.

great food but room needs attention
The dinner experience exceeded our expectations with each dish beautifully prepared. The large ensuite bathroom provided a comfortable touch during our stay.
The room felt slightly outdated and could use some modern updates.

The breakfast spread was a feast—talk about a proper start to the day! The quaint charm of the pub kept us entertained, and the staff were a right bunch of legends. Plus, the local walks were delightful for a post-nosh stroll.
But, blimey, the noise from the pub was a bit out of hand, making sleep a challenge. We also could've done with comfier pillows to snuggle up with.

Charming getaway!
Had a lovely time exploring the village, it's super cute! The restaurant served some yummy food, and the staff were really friendly. Just a heads up, the car park is pretty small and tight, so be careful. it was a perfect spot for a nice break!

Ideal spot for family gatherings
The food was a standout, we had the Thai fish cakes and they were really good I mean like nice type of good. Also when I arrived at breakfast I was greeted with a nice cup of coffee which really got my day going even though I had to make my own toast.
It wasn’t the cheapest option on the block but for what we got it was still acceptable.
